Human Condition

Greetings Visionaries!

I want to put together a proposal for gallery shows in 2010 - 2011. I have chosen the theme "Human Condition."

I will be making our pitch to at least 25 galleries in my region of the United States. Before I can make our pitch for a show, I need samples, examples, and artist statements. If you are interested in taking part in this effort, please drop me a note.

I want to get the ball rolling on this project. All of you are brilliant artists and I hope you will want to get on board.

Suzanne and I will handle all the legwork, telephone calls, sales pitch and everything else it takes to get a showing. If anyone else would like to help out, let me or Suzanne know.

Wonderful idea helen!! I doubt I have any subject matter though - however if you feel I do please let me know! Or is this just something from the USA? Might not be able to participate from Australia?

Oh yes you do have work about the human condition - Bag goes everywhere. Anyone can participate, I just need to know what piece you have that you think represents your idea of the human condition so I can put together sample works for the pitch to galleries.

Hey Helen.... this sounds great.... count me in for sure. Lets stop fooling around playing at being artists online and start being artists in the real world..... I have so much work to show and would just love to get a gig happening in the US...... depending on the show I"ll either make new work or work with existing series of images which you may or may not have seen before....

PS the digital handcoloured image you liked might be a good place to start.... the deeper name.... thinking about stuff that can't be named is also part of the Human Condition.......let me know what you think

Just so everyone else knows too - I'm in it for sure as well!!! And - I leave it free for Helen or Suzanne to pick any image from my work they like for representation - I have LOTS that can fit with a concept of 'Human Condition'....
And I'm super keen to 'get it out there' in the real world, not just in cyber space..
